Always a great experience when I come into the office. Great help with trip planning. Just wish we could travel more often.

The AWFUL experience I had with the AAA Pittsburgh East Region last night to warn all my friends. Last night at Bishop Canevin Senior High School my truck wouldn't start. At approximately 10pm I called AAA for tow/battery service and the woman on the phone advised me that she would send a tow truck with the intention to fix/tow my truck. The only problem was because it was after 10pm it could be up to a 90 minute wait. Not thrilled but having no other choice I accepted this. The AAA agent called me about 35 minutes into the 90 saying he'd be there in about 10 minutes and I was a happy camper. I then see a AAA branded Chevy Silverado pull into the parking lot(NOT a tow truck) and he advised me his boss wouldn't allow him to bring the tow truck until he first tries to jump my truck off a jump pack. No luck there so then we determine it's my starter(which I JUST replaced a week and a half ago) and that he'd have to call his boss to have a tow truck come get me. At this point my blood is beginning to heat up and boil just a little so I call my loving wife, Kristin, who calmed me down and after about a 15 minute conversation I figure I better call AAA just to see if they know how long it'll be until a tow truck arrives. The woman on the phone told me it's their policy to do what they did and that it can take another hour for the tow truck to arrive. This means if he arrives at the max amount of time I'd be about 2 hours into my waiting when had the first man who arrived on scene brought what he was to bring I could be home and in bed sleeping. This new time frame was not acceptable and my blood began to boil even more. After asking for her supervisor she then sent me to a dispatcher who told me the same thing then proceeded to tell me that while I was waiting on the tow truck he went to pick up a different car first b/c mine was such a long trip to take me home. At this point the vein in my neck began to pulsate and I asked for another supervisor who told me he can call a private company(NOT AAA) to tow me home on AAA's bill but it'd be another half hour and the original company was supposed to be about 11 minutes away at this point. The other company never showed up and thank God the private one showed up and towed me home but I will be blasting this story all over social media and on AAA's page until I have some type of compensation for my trouble. I am sorry for such a long rant but moral of the story is when you call AAA in the city make sure to tell them you need towed not jumped so they send the right guy!

This agency is very difficult to work with. You always get a voicemail and never get to speak to a live person.
